About

Brazilian composer, born in General Câmara in 1981. Graduated in musical composition at UFRGS (Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil), where he attended the class of Celso Loureiro Chaves and Antônio Carlos Cunha. He participated in composition workshops with Brian Ferneyhough (EUA), Jack Fortner (EUA) and Emmanuel Nunes (POR), and of interactive music with James Corrêa (BRA) and Eduardo Reck Miranda (BRA). Was involved, along with Eloi Fernando Fritsch, in research projects on electroacoustic music at CME (Center for Electronic Music), UFRGS, having received two awards on the developed works. Took part of the organizing comitee of many concerts of contemporary music and colaborated with Januibe Tejera in the realization of the "Festival Contemporâneo-RS 2006", at Institut Goethe of Porto Alegre. His works were premiered at musical festivals and in concerts in Brazil and Portugal. Produced soundtracks for videoart and art installations along with many visual artists. Is an member of the Avante! contemporary music group, along with Bruno Ângelo, Felipe Faraco, Leonardo Cardoso and Bruno Alcalde. Nowadays he is developing a PhD project at CIME (Center for the Investigation in Electronic Music), in Aveiro's University, under the guidance of João Pedro Oliveira.
