Lídia de Jesus Oliveira Loureiro da Silva (lidia@ua.pt)  is a Professor at the University of Aveiro-Portugal (www.ua.pt).
Academic Degrees: 1991 degree of licentiate in Philosophy at the University of Coimbra – Portugal; 1995 European Master in Education Technology at University of Aveiro (Portugal), Valenciennes (France) and Mons (Belgium); and in 2002 PhD in Sciences and Technologies of Communication at the University of Aveiro-Portugal.
Her main research work has been at the edge meeting points between sociology of communication, new media, media ecology and cyberculture. She is the principal investigator of the Research Group Communication and Information in New Technologically Mediated Contexts at the Research Unit CETAC.MEDIA (www.cetacmedia.org).
