About
I am an Assistant Professor at the Social, Legal and Political Sciences Department (SACSJP) at the University of Aveiro (UAVR). I have a degree in Sociology, by the ISCTE (University of Lisbon, 1989) and a PhD in Environmental Sciences by the University of Aveiro (2003). My main research interests are in the field of Environmental Sociology (social attitudes and practices towards the environment); Social Perceptions of Environmental and Technological Risks; Rural Sociology, Rural and Local Development. My main teaching subjects are Social Sciences Research Methods and Techniques; Environmental Sociology; Risk perceptions; Social Exclusion and Public Policies; Rural Tourism.
I am an expert in the field of Social Sciences Methodologies and Research Techniques.
I have been involved, as Main Researcher and/or Consultant in several International (EU funded) and national (FCT funded) research projects. I am author and co-author of several papers and presentations, published in national and international books and journals, as well as presented at national and international conferences.
